Microbiome

Vision

The Microbiome Working Group brings countries and organizations together to exchange knowledge and perspectives on how microbiome innovations can drive the shift toward a sustainable circular bioeconomy. The group supports shared learning on opportunities, challenges, and policy needs, helping members contribute more effectively to global bioeconomy discussions.

What we do

  • Share insights on microbiome-based solutions that support global circular bioeconomy goals across sectors like health, agriculture, and environment.

  • Identify research and policy needs across the many dimensions of the microbiome-enabled bioeconomy, from discovery to regulation.

  • Connect microbiome policy and innovation with broader health, food security, environmental, and bioeconomy agendas.
